09:30 - 10:30 : Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha)

Location Name : Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan

After enjoying breakfast with a view, you'll take a short, leisurely walk to Wat Pho. This temple is famous for its centerpiece: the awe-inspiring Reclining Buddha, a massive gold-leaf statue stretching 46 meters long. As one of Bangkok's oldest and largest temples, Wat Pho is not just about the famous statue. Be sure to explore the sprawling grounds, which include beautiful stupas, intricate murals, and tranquil courtyards. This temple is also considered the birthplace of traditional Thai massage, so keep an eye out for the massage school on the premises.

After your visit to Wat Pho, a very short walk will lead you to the magnificent Grand Palace complex. This is an essential stop on any Bangkok itinerary, so expect it to be busy. The palace is a dazzling display of Thai architecture and artistry, but the main highlight is Wat Phra Kaeo, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. As Thailand's most sacred temple, it houses a small but deeply revered Buddha image. Be mindful of the strict dress code: both men and women must have their shoulders and knees fully covered.
