Before starting the registration process, you must prepare the following:
1. Registered Office Address
You need a physical address for your company.
Initially, you can rent a space under your personal name and inform the landlord that once the company is registered, you will transfer the lease agreement to the company’s name.
This allows rental expenses to be recorded as a company expense.
2. Company Email Address
You must provide an email address for government correspondence during registration.
Free email services (Gmail, Hotmail, etc.) are acceptable, but you must check it regularly for official communications.
You can change it later, but there may be fees for updating company details.
3. Business Phone Number
Provide a dedicated phone number (not your personal number) for government agencies (DBD, Revenue Department, Social Security, District Office, etc.).
This number should be managed by your company’s admin staff.
Changing the number later is possible but may involve additional costs.
4. Appointment of Company Directors
You can appoint any number of directors (no limit).
You can specify signing authority (single director, joint signatures, or multiple signatories).
Directors can be foreigners (no work permit required just for being a director).
Note: Directors without a work permit cannot work full-time in the company but can sign legal documents.
5. Foreign Directors Working Full-Time
If a foreign director will work full-time, they must obtain a work permit.
The company must meet these requirements:
o Registered capital of 2 million THB per foreign employee.
o 4 Thai employees per 1 foreign employee.
