Weekend Travel Tip: Don’t Miss This Charming Riverside Café!
If your visit falls on a Saturday or Sunday, make sure to stop by this lovely café for a serene morning by the Chao Phraya River. Sip on a freshly brewed coffee or tea while soaking in the peaceful riverside atmosphere.

Getting there from Wat Kalayanamit is easy:
Exit the temple toward the river.
Turn right and walk along the temple boundary until you spot a small pavilion leading to a riverside path.
From there, you’ll enter the historic Kudi Chin community, one of Bangkok’s oldest neighborhoods in Thonburi.

"You'll find a full selection of food and drinks here! You can enjoy your order right at the café, or take it to-go and stroll around the historic Kudi Chin neighborhood. If you'd rather save your appetite, the area also has charming Portuguese-Thai eateries waiting to be explored—perfect for a cultural food adventure!"
A Glimpse into Kudee Jeen’s Fascinating Past
This area was settled by Portuguese descendants who survived the fall of Ayutthaya and later followed King Taksin to establish a new life here. Their legacy lives on in the neighborhood’s unique Sino-Portuguese architecture, bakeries, and cultural traditions, making it one of Bangkok’s most intriguing hidden gems.
"But if you're visiting on a weekday, we've got another great riverside café to recommend! This spot opens at 10:30 AM and offers equally gorgeous river views—perfect for a relaxed morning break."
